This is Ashton. Isn’t he the sweetest? He was so alert for the entire session and barely even made a fuss. I met him briefly earlier in the week for a minishoot with his daddy before his deployment. Then on Sunday I went back to focus on Ashton. He showed his dad some extra special love during the minishoot and I am sure dad was glad to hear that mom got some special loving too.

I was super excited to meet Logan this weekend. You might remember our fun maternity session. He was such a good baby even if he didn’t want to sleep for us. This first photo just melts my heart! And I absolutely love both of their smiles in the Logan and Mommy shot.

This Saturday I had a fun session with Sarah, Trent, Casey and 3 week old Harper. The weather wasn’t necessarily our friend but we even managed a few outdoor shots before it started raining harder. At one point we were trying to get Casey to kiss Harper and Sarah asked her what baby Harper smelled like…and her reply was priceless…”She smells like soft.” I think we all melted just a little bit. Casey was such a trooper for the all-in-one newborn/family session. I wish I looked half as fabulous as Sarah did three weeks after my second daughter was born!!! It was great to meet all of you and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

So I teased yesterday with Ayden’s newborn photo with his daddy. Well today you get to see how much difference 1 single year makes!

I turned the original to black and white for comparison (and if I am being truthful – the green blanket always bothered me but he fell asleep for just a second and we weren’t willing to remove it and wake him until we got the shot.)

One year ago…

Two days ago…When Ayden reached up to touch his daddy’s hat…I thought to myself, it couldn’t get more perfect than that…plus how could you not love those chubby arms and legs?!?

Then he looked at me….and I was in love.

Ayden was my very first newborn (and very first blog post!). He wouldn’t sleep a wink. This is still one of my favorites – he was 12 days old.

Today Mr. Birthday Boy is 1 year old! Happy Birthday Ayden!!! – a St. Patty’s day baby. I had so much fun hanging out with you yesterday.

And as a teaser…perhaps you may remember this shot if you have followed my journey from the beginning. Wait until you see the difference a year makes….stay tuned!!!!

This is Brennan. I met him this weekend and you saw a quick glimpse of him as Mr. Bear. He was 8 days old. He was incredibly cute and isn’t his mom just gorgeous? It was great to meet you and I hope you enjoy this peek at your photos!!! By the way, the adorable brown hat was made by my friend Carla…and I made the green one (don’t go getting crazy ideas like I taught myself how to knit in my spare time…I use a knitting loom…anyone can do it!)

10 weeks old {MA baby photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographing Chase this weekend. He was 10 weeks old and so adorable! He didn’t sleep much but was content the whole time…well, except for when I put a hat on him. It was the funniest thing…like a light switch. Hat on = crying. Hat off = happy boy. Repeat as necessary. At the very end, I had to try this adorable striped elf hat on him. My friend Carla made it for me and I just wanted to see it on him. His mom Maggie and I were ready for the sudden tears…and for some reason, this was the only hat that didn’t make him upset. Maggie and Dave – I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of Chase’s session!

Miss Payton – 14 days new {CT newborn photographer}

This is Payton. She was beautiful and so good to me. She was awake and content when I got there then settled into a nice deep sleep for the rest of the session. Look at this perfection! This is a big sneak peek because I just couldn’t decide which photos to share. Congrats to Emily and Brian (and Champ too!)

I loved the story of this blanket. Brian’s Great Grandma, who lived to be 105, made a baby blanket for each of her great-grandchildren to give to their first baby. How sweet is that?!? What a precious gift.
