Natural light, on-location photographer in Kalamazoo
The big question for family photos is always “what do we wear?” I love coordinating styles that let each family member dress to their own personality. In this edition, the aqua, green and pink ties all of the outfits together – so they look cohesive but everyone isn’t wearing the same exact thing. Your girly girl can be in a dress whereas your tomboy might be more comfortable in pants. It works for everyone.

The Harris family is a part of my family. Are we related by blood? No – but the bond is there just the same. We were both Michigan transplants living in Connecticut…with all of our family out of state. Both of our families loved Connecticut but disliked being so far away. As luck would have it, we all made it back to Michigan and closer to our families. We still miss the amazing seafood and quaint beaches in southeastern CT but Michigan is home.
I am so happy that we all ended up at the same place yet again. We love having you guys in our life.
I know I keep talking about the chilly weather…but all of my recent families have braved the weather and have ended up with amazing fall family portraits. This family is no exception…I LOVE the way the family dressed for their session. They could be their own “what to wear” post. Great colors, great coordination. Thank you for such a fun session!

Milham Park is a perfect location for fall family portraits in Kalamazoo. The colors were beautiful and there were leaves everywhere! This family also braved the chillier temperatures to capture the family and the season. Enjoy!
