I absolutely LOVE when moms want to capture some images while breastfeeding. Often it is the second-time moms because they remember how quickly time passed the first time around. There is a beauty and intimacy to these portraits but even more so, it captures a time in your baby’s life that is fleeting – regardless of whether you breastfeed days, weeks, or years. It is hard for me to remember the connection, the bond, the peacefulness (once we figured everything out). Luckily for this mom – she can always glimpse back at these precious moments.

Another family that I have had the pleasure of photographing numerous times. We met when Taylor was pregnant with Todd and I did some maternity photos for them, followed by a newborn session. You might recognize Chloe because one of my favorite photos ever is on my website. Love her curls and beautiful blue eyes. Enjoy!
I know, I know – I sound like a broken record (do kids even know what that means anymore?) but I love seeing my families every year and in this case, watching their family grow. I met Bryan and Priscilla right when I started my journey as a photographer when I was desperate for a newborn to practice with. A mutual friend hooked us up. Ayden was my very first newborn and boy, did he make me work! Earlier this year I was able to photograph their newest addition, Allyson at her very own newborn session. We finished out the year with a family session. I will miss you all!
I had the pleasure of photographing little Miss Brynn right after moving to Kalamazoo. She was slightly older than most newborns I do but alas, I couldn’t take her photos while I was still in Connecticut. I am so excited for Annalee, Dan and big brother Miles…Brynn was so sweet and laid back…well, until she had just had enough of me. Then she was ready to go!
