As I have mentioned before, I am a participating photographer for Shoots for a Cure. Cancer has personally affected my life so I feel it is important to volunteer my time making sure families have images from before, during or after their battle/victory.
Meet Julie- she is a wife, mother, grandmother and an accountant/branch manager for the Federal Government. She has been recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor and is just starting her battle. We met at a nearby park to capture her family and make some memories. Please send prayers and good thoughts to Julie and her family!
In her own words…
“Getting the news has changed my life. Your focus goes to what is really important. I have been enjoying each day and try to make the most out of the time I have left. I will fight this tumor until I no longer can and eek out every second of life. Family, friends, nature and doing thing I enjoy. This is my emotional focus. My physical focus will be my treatments and recording the efforts. I have a job ahead of me, but am determined to succeed. I will retire from the government to focus all of my energy on the task before me.”
Enjoy this peek into their session.
