As many of you know, I went to a photography convention in Las Vegas last week. I came home totally inspired (more on this in a separate post). The last day I waited in line (for hours) to listen to Amber Holritz, the lifestyle baby photographer. http://www.amberholritz.com/
Her work totally inspired me. She captures the everyday life moments that you never want to forget. I am sure it is a combination of Amber’s talk and photos as well as the fact that I was away from my girls but I have noticed SO many moments since I have been home that are moments I do not want to forget. So I have decided to up the ISO and embrace the noise to capture these memories.
This is Leah. She has no lovey, no binky, no blankie. Never really has. But she finds her comfort in her sippy of milk. When she is tired, cranky or unsure, she carries the sippy everywhere. When she is sick, she wants her milk all day long. I often see her eyes over the sippy just like this. She holds it in her teeth and will walk around the house like that. She no longer takes the milk to bed but after a few rough nights we found that she is just as happy with a sippy of water. (I hope her dentist doesn’t read my blog!) This photo moves me today and I can’t even imagine how I will feel about it when she is all grown up.
