Flashback Friday

Welcome to Flashback Friday! I used to do this occasionally on my family blog and got out of practice. I thought it would be fun to start again on my photography blog to introduce you to my family. Maybe I should call it Family Flashback Friday?!?

Two years ago, we moved to Connecticut from Michigan. We moved here due to a job transfer for my husband. My daughter Hannah was 18 months old. We were enthralled by the beaches that first summer. I loved this shot of Hannah playing on the beach in Stonington Borough. It was her first time on a beach since she had been walking. In fact, I have this image on canvas in my house.

I would probably process it a bit differently now but this captured moment brings back memories. And I hope to capture a similar moment for Leah and have a pair of beach canvases in my house.

I had a great maternity session last week with Andrea and Sean. Sean stole my heart. He has a big beaming smile and was only too happy to play and show me his outdoor toys. Andrea is a gorgeous pregnant woman and is positively glowing. They are both happily awaiting the arrival of Daddy who comes home this week. I will be doing a second mini-session with all of them. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek and have a wonderful reunion this week.

Birthday Boy {CT children photographer}

Diego is FIVE today. Happy Birthday!!! And to celebrate his birthday, here are a few more from his session a little over a month ago.

Diego has a fascination with the bamboo at my house. Yes, strangely enough bamboo does grow in Connecticut. Everytime he comes over, he “searches” for panda bears…who he tells me LOVE to eat bamboo. Don’t tell – it’s a secret! Diego is getting a panda bear book from Hannah for his birthday!

Charlie and Debbie {CT family photographer}

I had a wonderful time photographing an extended family of twelve: 2 parents, 4 siblings, 2 spouses and 4 grandkids and don’t forget Jelly Bean the dog. They are the type of family that makes you feel like you are one of them. I have tons of photos to share but thought I would start off with the centerpieces of this family: Charlie and Debbie, also known as Dad and Mom, also known as Digi and Mimi by the youngest generation.

I absolutely love this captured moment. They look so happy and still completely in love.

Beautiful Bump {CT maternity photographer}

I met Amanda and family out at Avery Point for an evening maternity shoot. Doesn’t she look fabulous? A beautiful location too. Stay tuned for some fun family photos later this week.
